Unique design combined with strong performance for individual requirements characterize the machines and plants of Romaco.
At P-MEC 2008 in Mumbai, India, Romaco will be presenting its new aseptic liquid filler Macofar VF 18 for pharmaceutical parenterals and lyophilized products. With a maximum output of 18,000 vials per hour, the slim designed and GMP-standardized plant achieves highest product safety.
The Noack N 921 demonstrates top level blister technology. With less than 4m length, the rotary sealing blister machine attains a maximum packaging performance of up to 500 blisters per minute. The interchangeable feeding unit, QuickFeed, accelerates change-over times and significantly increases the plant’s efficiency.
A further trade fair highlight is the Promatic P 91S, the fastest intermittent motion cartoner of its class. With a maximum output of 140 cartons per minute, the plant sets new standards for the packaging industry. In line with the Noack N 921 blister packaging machine, the cartoner Promatic P 91S presents an effective line for primary and secondary pharmaceutical packaging.
The vertical heat-sealing machine Siebler HM 1/230 has a great impact on the strip-packaging sector. Absolute reproducibility of all sealing parameters like pressure, temperature and speed indicates highest accuracy during the whole production process.
These products can be seen in hall 1, booth A02/A at P-MEC in Mumbai, India, on 27-30 November, 2008.
Macofar VF 18: slim-designed aseptic liquid filler
Romaco Macofar VF 18, the aseptic liquid filler, is the perfect fit for the filling of liquid or lyophilized pharmaceutical products. One of the outstanding features is its unique slim design. The horizontal distance between the feeding hoses and the machine front is less than 600mm. The required space in the “white area” is reduced to a minimum.
The vertical distance between the machine base and the filling area is big enough to avoid any turbulences and particles around the open bottles. The machine offers a trough wall installation, which strictly separates the aseptic production area from the technical area. The whole unit fulfils the high requirements of good manufacturing practices (GMP) for aseptic production processes in the clean room class “grade A”.
This medium speed machine offers an output of 18,000 vials per hour. All drives are realized with servo motors to allow very accurate and reproducible processes. The integrated weighing stations check the weight of the vials before and after filling. The control unit automatically adjusts the filling volume, if necessary. Depending on the requirements of the application, the machine is available with Isolator technology, restricted access barrier systems (RABS) and laminar flow.
Through an easy and centralized operation of the plant via the HMI touch screen panel, the necessity of manual interaction is nearly ruled out. The changeover to other vials can be done in a semi-automatic mode, which significantly increases product safety.
