Multisorb Technologies will be presenting a technical poster at the 2014 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Meeting and Exposition at San Diego Convention Center in San Diego.
The event will take place from 2-6 November and the company can be found at booth 3635.
The poster, titled, ‘The Science Behind Sorbent Selection’ explains how simulation technology can eliminate desiccant ranging studies. It also explains how to save pharmaceutical manufacturers between six and 12 months development time, and allow drug products faster access to the market.
A predictive model of moisture permeation and adsorption is used, helping to determine the appropriate desiccant type and amount required for shelf-life targets, for pharmaceutical formulations and dosage forms.
Desiccant solutions are optimized for the product’s chemical and stability requirements and its packaging. Simulation technology speeds up the development process, allowing for faster regulatory filing.
Multisorb Technologies will also have a booth to highlight its customized desiccant and oxygen absorbers, used to improve healthcare product stability for moisture and oxygen sensitive drugs.
