Memmert appointed Philipp Schwarm, who worked for the company since April 2019, as new managing director in May. When he joined the company last year, he took over the management of Research & Development and is also responsible for national and international sales. Philipp Schwarm was previously employed for several years as commercial manager in companies of the Gutmann Group in Weissenburg (central Franconia).
Christiane Riefler-Karpa was the sole executive so far and she ran the company together with the authorised signatories Jürgen Gambert and Matthias Grosser after she succeeded her parents Peter Riefler and Margarete Memmert-Riefler in 2007.
Already in its third generation and at two locations in southern Germany, Memmert develops and manufactures temperature control appliances for a wide variety of applications in many areas. Around 450 people from around 30 nations are currently helping to shape this success. Hundreds of thousands of Memmert products have been in use in more than 190 countries for decades. This makes Memmert one of the most innovative and leading manufacturers of high-precision climate and temperature control appliances worldwide.
Memmert has been committed to the regional production location for decades and also plans to continue supplying the global markets from local production. It is the declared aim to remain internationally competitive and to strengthen and further expand the market position through close customer relationships based on partnership and local presence in the core markets.
