NanoSight Workshop in Edinburgh, UK
Malvern Panalytical has announced a NanoSight Workshop in Edinburgh, UK.
Taking place on 6 November from 10:00-16:00 (GMT), this workshop is open to anyone that uses the Malvern Panalytical NanoSight range to characterise their sample. Discuss your experiences, challenges and successes in using the NanoSight in your research.
This workshop has been designed to cover basic training, including how to obtain the best image for size and concentration data in light scatter mode, best practice and how to maintain your NanoSight instrument. Also, have access to Malvern Panalytical NanoSight experts and meet other users.
The workshop will take place at the Centre for Inflammation Research and the University of Edinburgh.
11th OMA User Day
Malvern Panalytical is hosting a free user day on how various analytical techniques can be used for applications related to the mining industry.
The following techniques will be covered:
- X-ray diffraction
- X-ray fluorescence
- Near-infrared
- Laser diffraction
- Sample preparation by fusion
This event is a great occasion to meet with various experts and gain insights into how to address challenges in your laboratory. Various presentations (including one from SGS), hands-on activities, roundtables and demonstrations are planned throughout the day. Snacks and lunch will also be provided.
The event will take place on 7 November from 9:00-17:00 (GMT-4:00) at the Malvern Panalytical offices in Québec, Canada. Sign up early to reserve your seat since registration has a limited number of attendees.
X’raydiate, University of Hyderabad and Jalandhar Symposium
Materials research has been instrumental towards a better quality of life. Without pushing the limits of science, we wouldn’t be having better, safer, longer lasting electronics, plastic components and more. Undoubtedly, X-ray diffraction (XRD) has been integral towards materials science research.
Malvern Panalytical has proudly organised X’raydiate symposiums on a regular basis to bring the XRD community together. In this edition, its theme focuses on improving the world we live in with XRD. The company is honoured to have renowned professors and researchers as invited speakers who will share their research applications.
Addressing this symposium is Dr Gwilherm Nénert, a specially invited guest from Malvern Panalytical’s supply centre in the Netherlands. He will share cutting-edge research using advanced XRD techniques including non-ambient, small angle X-ray scattering and PDF.
Moreover, look out for the exciting launch of Malvern Panalytical’s third-generation multipurpose X-ray diffractometer. Experimental set up is often a concern and manual intervention is no longer required with the Empyrean III series, which comes equipped with the company’s multi-core optics.
This event will take place from 12-13 November at 9:00-16:00 (GMT+5:30) at the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune, India; the 14 November from 9:30-17:30 (GMT+05:30) at the University of Hyderabad, India; and 17 November from 9:30-16:00 (GMT+05:30) at the National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India.

DLS Workshop in Cambridge, UK
Malvern Panalytical has announced the dynamic light scattering (DLS) workshop in Cambridge, UK.
This workshop is open to anyone that uses the Malvern Panalytical Zetasizer Nano range to characterise their sample. Discuss your experiences, challenges and successes in using the Zetasizer in your research.
This workshop has been designed to cover basic training, which includes the best measurement practice for size (DLS) and Zeta potential (electrophoretic light scattering) measurements.
The company will showcase its latest development, the Zetasizer Ultra. Join Malvern and find out more about its new DLS technology for faster measurements and more robust results. Also, have access to Malvern Panalytical Zetasizer experts and meet other users.
This event takes place on 28 November from 9:30-16:00 at the Chemistry Department of the University of Cambridge.
