H&T Presspart have announced the opening of a new sales office to cover the Latin America region.
Based in Montevideo in Uruguay, H&T Presspart Latin America will provide support for customers in the South and Central American region.
The company has also announced Jesus Polanco will take up the role of sales and business development Manager Latin America with immediate effect. Jesus brings with him a wealth of experience in the respiratory drug delivery field having previously worked as business development manager at H&T Presspart Tarragona. Mr Polanco will support the setting up of H&T Presspart Latin America, as well as service the growing needs of H&T Presspart’s customer base in the region.
Also joining H&T Presspart Latin America will be Carina Sposato, who will be taking up the role of customer services Latin America. The team will report to Dana Shears, who will continue his role as Sales Director for the Americas.
H&T Presspart’s commercial director Julian Hemy commented "This announcement shows our commitment to the Latin American region and will ensure we are in the best position possible to support the strategic needs of H&T Presspart and our customer base."
As well as the opening of a sales office in South America, H&T Presspart are planning to make a significant investments in the area of metered dose inhalers (MDI), an application for the medical treatment of respiratory diseases.
H&T Presspart already supplies pharmaceutical industry customers throughout the world with canisters and actuators. In future H&T Presspart will provide actuators with integrated dose counters or the Quantum Dose Indicator where required. They show the patient the current fill level of the metered dose inhalers. This considerably reduces the risk of an MDI unexpectedly reaching the end of its life in a critical situation.
In the coming years H&T Presspart will complement their European production capacity with manufacturing and sales offices in Asia.
