Avatour is the remote collaboration platform for site meetings.
Avatour enables effective site meetings without travel. The cloud service uses off-the-shelf hardware to provide full-motion 360° real-time communication, connected via a web browser or optional virtual reality (VR) headset.
For the first time, remote users can experience the full spatial context of a site, enabling much more efficient collaboration with on-site personnel.
Just one year after launch, Avatour has contracted with top-tier customers across multiple sectors, including Thermo Fisher, Colgate-Palmolive and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Avatour is widely deployed by leading companies in the life sciences industry, meeting or exceeding their requirements for both internal and external audits and inspections. Combining unique 360° technology with real-time video and audio communication lets guests see what they want to see and focus on what is important to them.
The ability to interact with a remote location in complete 360° puts control of a virtual inspection in the hands of the guest – where it belongs. Meeting members have the ability to look around the host’s location independent of the host and independent of the other meeting members.
Avatour provides remote users with the full context of a real-world space, enabling more effective collaboration with on-site personnel. VR headsets enable a fully immersive experience, but remote users can also join from a standard web browser on any device, making it easy to deploy Avatour throughout an organisation.

Our team
Avatour’s founding team is uniquely qualified to bring this vision to market. CEO Devon Copley previously led sales and customer success for Software-as-a-service (SaaS) video unicorn Kaltura, and has a prior exit as co-founder/CTO. CTO Prasad Balasubramanian is a real-time processing expert who helped lead the DolbyVision development team.
The two met on the Nokia OZO programme, where they built the first complete live 360° delivery platform. This platform enabled some of the largest live VR productions in history, including the Champions League playoffs.
