Dramatic bioavailability increase of API in SuperCritical medium.

This press release provides a brief overview of P&I’s extensive expertise in solubility increase of APIs. Solubility is one of the factors influencing bioavailability of APIs. Two technologies are offered : Nanoparticles manufacture and API/Cyclodextrin complexation, both in supercritical medium in compliance with cGMPs (lab- and commercial scale).
Nanoparticles manufacture using RESS and SAS processes leads to an increase of the API dissolution rate and the complexation of APIs with cyclodextrins directly enhance the solubility of the API. With respect to its long expertise in cytotoxic APIs manufacture, P&I can also increase bioavailability of high potency and cytotoxic APIs.
