The EMBOCAPS® AP60 is perfect solution for special ingredients targeted to reach the colon or pH sensitive fill materials. This capsule survives the harsh conditions encountered in the upper part of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract for more than 60 minutes.
The shell of the EMBOCAPS® AP60 is a blend of HPMC and Pectin. The pectin used is derived from natural vegetable raw materials such as apple pomace and citrus peels. These raw materials do not contain any genetically modified organisms, nor are they genetically modified themselves. Pectin has a pH dependent solubility profile and drastically reduce toxicity when compared to other synthetic polymers that are used to achieve a delayed release capsule, making it an excellent choice for acid protection.
