The United States segment includes the company’s Walgreens business, which includes the operations of retail drugstores, health and wellness services, and mail and central speciality pharmacy services. It carries out the sale of prescription drugs and an assortment of retail products comprising health and wellness, beauty, personal care and consumables, and general merchandise. The company also provides speciality pharmacy and mail services and offers other health and wellness services. The International segment consists of pharmacy-led health and beauty retail businesses outside the US and the pharmaceutical wholesale and distribution business in Germany. The segment’s sales consist of pharmacy, which includes the sale of prescription drugs and provision of pharmacy-related services; and retail, consisting of the sale of health and beauty products including beauty, toiletries and lifestyle merchandising, non-prescription drugs; and in the UK, the provision of optical services.
WBA provides its customers omni-channel access through its portfolio of retail and business brands, which include Walgreens, Duane Reade and Boots, besides health and beauty product brands such as No7, NICE!, Soap & Glory, Finest Nutrition, Liz Earle, Botanics, Sleek MakeUP, and YourGoodSkin.
