Ixazomib citrate (MLN9708 / Ninlaro) acts as an anti neoplastic agent. It is formulated as hard gelatin capsules for oral route of administration. Ninlaro is indicated in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone for the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma who have received at least one prior therapy.

It was also under development for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, hematological malignancies including relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML), Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, head and neck cancer squamous cell carcinoma, soft tissue sarcoma and prostate cancer, lupus nephritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, refractory autoimmune cytopenia including warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia (wAIHA), relapsed/refractory primary amyloidosis, metastatic renal cell carcinoma, metastatic triple negative breast cancer, high risk myelodysplastic syndrome, relapsed /refractory cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, sezary syndrome, mycosis fungoides, anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCL), intravenous pediatric patients with relapsed/refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia, relapsed/refractory lymphoblastic lymphoma and graft versus host disease.
