UK-based pharmaceutical chain Tesco Pharmacy has partnered with Alzheimer’s Society to provide information on dementia in its 350 stores.
Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland have been picked as Tesco Charity of the Year 2011, and will provide the supermarket with leaflets and booklets as part of the programme.
Both charities intend to increase diagnosis rates through this initiative with Tesco pharmacy.
Tesco Superintendent Pharmacist Adrian Price said that working with Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland would help inform their customers about this health issue and help tackle the problem of low diagnosis rates.
