Biocon subsidiary Biocon Biologics has successfully integrated Viatris‘ biosimilars business in 31 countries in Europe.
In November 2022, Biocon Biologics concluded the acquisition of Viatris’ international biosimilars business in a $3bn deal. The companies signed a definitive agreement for the acquisition in February 2023.
In July 2023, the company completed the related integration in more than 70 emerging market countries, going on to do so in North America in September.
The successful transition of the biosimilar operations of Viatris represents a major milestone in establishing Biocon as a leading global biosimilars company.

Biocon Biologics and its partners will sell biosimilar products to countries that include Albania, Bosnia, Hungary, Serbia, Switzerland and the UK.
