July 2022 has seen a decrease of 2.94% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.79% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering a decrease of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 35% in July 2022, a 250% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 25% in July 2022, marking a 25% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 20% in July 2022, a 27.27% drop from June 2022.
Computer Support Specialists registered a share of 12.5% in July 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 88.24% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s pharma industry during July 2022 over previous month.
AstraZeneca posted 12 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 300% over the previous month, followed by Pfizer with 9 jobs and an 800% growth. Johnson & Johnson with 5 IT jobs and Eurofins Scientific with 4 jobs, recorded a 25% rise and a 33.33% rise, respectively, while F. Hoffmann-La Roche recorded a 66.67% decline with 2 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s pharma industry
Costa Rica commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 37.5% share in July 2022, a 50% increase over June 2022. Brazil featured next with a 17.5% share, down 50% over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 10% share, a drop of 20% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.5%, up by 65% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.5% share, registered a growth of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5% share, down 71.43% over June 2022.
