France’s pharma industry registered a 10.2% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.04% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.39% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s pharma industry in June 2022.

1) Computer and Information Research Scientists recorded a share of 48.28% in June 2022, registering a 22.22% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.59% share, an increase of 166.67% over the previous month.

3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 20.69%, registering a 14.29% decline from May 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.45%, down 75% over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 15% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s pharma industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Octapharma posted 14 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 22.22% over the previous month, followed by Sanofi with 3 jobs and a 50% growth. Ipsen with 2 IT jobs and Syneos Health with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Novo Nordisk recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.76%, down by 11.11% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 10.34% share, registered a decline of 40% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.9% share, up 100% over May 2022.
