Switzerland-based company F. Hoffmann-La Roche’s IT hiring declined 16.3% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 11.52% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 8.21% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 1.41% decline over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 57.14% in June 2022, and a 100% rise over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 13.45% in June 2022, and registered growth of 100%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 12.61% in June 2022, a flat growth from May 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at F. Hoffmann-La Roche

North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 50.42% share, which marked a 71.43% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 27.73%, registering a 17.86% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 15.97% share and a 90% rise over May 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 5.04% and a month-on-month increase of 200%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.84%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 45.38% share in June 2022, a 74.19% growth over May 2022. Switzerland featured next with a 9.24% share, up 83.33% over the previous month. China recorded an 8.4% share, an increase of 150% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.82%, up by 75% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.57% share, a growth of 41.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.08% share, up 100% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.52%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
