Palbociclib (Ibrance, Agatha) is a pyridopyrimidine-derived cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor with high anti-neoplastic activity. It is formulated as hard gelatin capsules, tablets and film coated tablets for the oral route of administration. Ibrance is indicated in combination with letrozole for the treatment of postmenopausal women with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced breast cancer as initial endocrine-based therapy for their metastatic disease.
