US-based company Johnson & Johnson’s IT hiring increased 4.7% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 2.4% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 5.05% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.11% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Johnson & Johnson IT hiring in July 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Johnson & Johnson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 47.67% in July 2021, and a flat growth over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 19.77% in July 2021, and registered a 19.05% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.63% in July 2021, a 16.67% drop from June 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Johnson & Johnson

North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 58.14% share, which marked an 18.03% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 20.93%, registering a 5.88% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 11.63% share and a 37.5% drop over June 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 8.14% and a month-on-month increase of 250%.Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.16%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 55.81% share in July 2021, an 11.11% decline over June 2021. Brazil featured next with an 8.14% share, up 250% over the previous month. United Kingdom recorded a 4.65% share, an increase of 33.33% compared with June 2021.

Mid Level jobs lead Johnson & Johnson IT hiring activity in July 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 45.35%, up by 2.63% from June 2021. Junior Level positions with a 43.02% share, a decline of 22.92% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.63% share, up 25% over June 2021.
