IT jobs accounted for a 4.14% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering a decrease of 0.25% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 50% in February 2022, a 60% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 33.33% in February 2022, marking a 55.56% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 16.67% in February 2022, a flat growth from January 2022.

Schreiner MediPharm posted 3 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a decline of 50% over the previous month, followed by MerckInc with 2 jobs and a 33.33% drop. Jordan Hospital with 1 IT job and Pfizer with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Teva Pharmaceutical Industries recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 33.33% share in February 2022, a 42.86% decrease over January 2022. Mali featured next with a 25% share, down 50% over the previous month. South Africa recorded a 16.67% share, a drop of 83.33% compared with January 2022.

Entry Level jobs held a share of 33.33%, down by 42.86% from January 2022. Junior Level positions with a 33.33% share, registered a decline of 75% compared with the previous month.
