The region now ranks in fourth for the total number of trials taking place, compared to its sixth placed ranking in 2010.

Chile and Guatemala also made up a large amount of the trials taking place with 25% and 8.3%, respectively.
North America
North America saw the biggest decrease in women's health trials.
The number of trials in the region fell by 17% between 2010 and 2020.
The United States saw the largest percentage of trials taking place in the region with 91.9%.
