As of mid-May, Spain has the worst Covid-19 outbreak in Europe, only second to the US for disease prevalence worldwide. According to GlobalData figures, Spain has 269,520 diagnosed individuals and 26,920 confirmed deaths. In March, the Spanish government declared one of the strictest policies in Europe after announcing an over two-week-long state of emergency, where all movement was banned except to buy essentials, move and work.
